What is the difference between PhotoReading and speed reading?
Speed reading is merely regular reading hastened up. You are taught to move your eyeballs faster.

Is it easy to learn PhotoReading?

How soon should I be able to PhotoRead at amazing speed?
That's up to you. If you enroll into a live PhotoReading seminar where you will have hands-on experience under the careful guidance of a trained and certified instructor, then all you need is just 2.5 days.
If you choose to learn it through the PhotoReading Home Study Course, it is a 16-hours duration.. Depending on how much time you have available to go through the CDs and how much you apply what you are learning, most people take between 1 and 3 weeks to complete the course.

How fast will I be able to process information with PhotoReading? Do I need to practice?
If you apply the PhotoReading whole mind system, then you will be able to processing a book 3 times faster than you can have regular read it before. If you practice, then you will be able to do comprehend much faster.
Let's say you would normally need to spend 10 hours to "regular read" one of your books now. A beginning PhotoReader can take the same book, spend 3 hours, and achieve better comprehension with long-term memory. In those 3 hours, they will have 3 to 6 passes through the book cover-to-cover in 30-minute special sessions, building layers of comprehension and understanding.
With practice and use, your reading time will rapidly drop from 3 hours to 2 hours, and so forth as you gradually work down to spending as little as 30 - 60minutes with each book.

Will I have a photographic memory of a book I have PhotoRead?
PhotoReading does not give you a photographic memory, nor instant recall of everything. It simply makes printed material faster to process and easier to use.
What you will learn is how to extract everything you want from any book in a quarter, or less, of the time you'd normally spend.
Let's say you normally spend eight hours with a book. Research has shown that you'll understand, on average, only 25-40% of the book. With the new skills you'll quickly acquire, you'll get through that book in two hours or less, and with 75% comprehension.

Do I have to give up my leisure reading to PhotoRead?
You can always slow down to enjoy a personal letter, a special poem or other pleasurable writing. PhotoReading is not a replacement for leisure reading. Instead, it is another skill set to add to your repertoire and it enhances regular reading.
